Equestrian Regional Championships

On Saturday at the National Schools Equestrian Association Grass Roots Regional Championships, the Brambletye Teams did really well.

Lolly, Farley and Jett came 5th in the 40cm class, competing against 16 other teams, with Farley placed 7th individually. All jumped lovely clear rounds, sadly we were missing Josh and Christopher who had both also qualified for today.

In the 50cm Farley, Lolly, Annabelle and Baillie (who has left Brambletye but qualified in our team last school year) came 8th. Competing against 19 other school and Baillie came 5th individually.

In the 60cm, we had Jett, Annabelle, Lolly and Baillie, but no placings at this height. It was a  difficult course to remember and some jumps significantly seemed to be higher than stated.

Everyone did brilliantly well, pushed their boundaries and showed great team spirit. A huge thank you to the parents who organised transport and gave their excellent support at this event.

Holland Sports and Art Tour 2015

During the first five days of the half-term break, 28 Brambletye pupils went to Rotterdam for a sports and art tour.

    The boys' cheer-leading team
The boys trained with Feyenoord Football School coaches, including former 1st Team and International players.

They played four matches of which they won 2.
The girls trained at HC Rotterdam with club coaches and 1st team players.

They played two matches, lost 1 drew 1 (but if you break it down into halves: won 2; lost 2)

    We visited art galleries.

We watched Feyenoord play against AZ Alkmaar along with 50,000 other fans ...

    ... and toured their stadium.

    We also went shopping!

    Y7 Charity Tea Party

A huge congratulations for the Y7 pupils who organised a tea party during the half term break in Hartfield Village Hall to raise funds for our School Charity, The Halow Project. They raised nearly £400.

Not only were there cakes ...

... but there was nail painting and hair plaiting.

A huge thank you to the magic mummys that made it all possible.
